NFC Heroes

This brand new development enables new possibilities in digital beverage marketing and advertising. A small and low cost NFC transponder, integrated into the opening tab of the can, can be accessed only after the can has been opened.After opening the can the user just needs to approach the opening tab with the smart phone and the corresponding app launches automatically, enabling new dimensions of product related games for marketing and advertising.In the current version this app is an example game in the thematic world of soccer, which demonstrates how the NFC Smart Beverage Can can be used, on the one hand, as the ticket for entering the game, and on the other hand, the can at the same time is used for recording the achieved final score.Beside gamification and entertainment there are existing also aspects of sustainability in the possible use case scenarios, e.g., apps/games can be designed to encourage the user to bring the empty cans back to collecting bins instead of discarding them thoughtless in the environment.
